Christian Serdahl, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in eye care for children and adults at Eye Site Sacramento in Sacramento and Folsom, California. Dr. Serdahl has been practicing ophthalmology since 1991 and has held several offices in the Sacramento medical community.
Dr. Serdahl pursued his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine before receiving his residency training at UC Davis Medical Center and internship at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center.
During his professional life, he served as the chief of ophthalmology at Mercy General Hospital and Sutter General Hospital. He was also the president of the Alta California Ophthalmology Society and the CommuniCare Health Centers. In addition, he was the medical director of VSP Vision Care and a clinical professor of ophthalmology at UC Davis Medical Center.
In addition to serving patients at Eye Site Sacramento, he is a peer reviewer for the Medical Board of California and the editor of Sacramento Medicine, a publication of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. He has lectured on topics and written several articles on presbyopia correction, cataract surgery, and eye injuries.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Serdahl enjoys windsurfing, skiing, backpacking, cooking, and fishing. He also seeks opportunities to serve on medical missions around the world, including the Philippines, Fiji, and Mexico.
